What would work best with my type of hair?

My hair is super thick, and very frizzy. It's also curly. right now it's past my shoulders by like 4 or 5 inches, and still pretty puffy. i want to get my hair cut shorter and layer it, and then i can straighten it so it wont be all frizzed out. would it work for my type of hair? because the shorter you get it cut (with my type of hair atleast) the less weight there is holding it down, so therefore it will probably get even poofier. yuck.

And because my hair is so thick....the ends look really bad if I wear my hair down....which i dont do anyways. but i want to get it layered so that the ends wont be so thick, and will just lay down. Plus, another problem i have is that ill go to all of the trouble to straighten my hair for like an hour, and then it will get al frizzy, or i cant stand it being so long and in my face to where i have to put it up. I need some kind of style that would stay down and UNDER CONTROL that i could jump around on a trampoline or something, and it will stay.

Ok, it's good that ur getting it cut, but it won't take as long 2 straighten it with shorter hair. Start using a shampoo that'll make ur hair less frizzy and more straight. Pantene Pro-V and Sunsilk has some brands that'll work. My friend had the same problem, so she cut it and then used a good shampoo. Good luck! :-)

My hair used 2b the same way. Idk how old u are but by the third time I died it it got so much thinner. Try dyin it and cut it in layers, tell em to trim some off they use toothed scisors to trim excess hair off, but cuttin it a lot shorter doesn't work. Trust me I tried and I know u know too.
