What do you do when your BFF hates your hair style?

My friend hates my new hair style! I my hair cut shorter (shoulder length instead of halfway down my back) and a perm that is slightly tigher than my old style of perm. I like it, I think it is very flattering to my face shape and everyboy else seems to like it but this friend hates it! She is constantly begging me to change it because she thinks it is ugly. She hates curly hair to begin with and swears that my fiancee will dump me over having curly hair.

My fiancee says he likes it, so do my friends and family but my BFF says that they are all lying to protect my feelings.

She says I look like Weird Al or SideShow Mel. We are not high school kids, we are 23 years old so I'm sick of this petty cat like behavior!

well, the first thought that came to my mind was that she was probably jealoused of u, because that happened to me once, and i considered changing because what my best friend said. and i know u heart this a lot cuz it's actually very true! a true friend will respect ur feelings and cheer for u even if they think u cant do it. plus, if she hates curly hair, why can't u like it? it might not look good on her but it definitely looks good on u! so trust ur instincts and not another person. she SHOULD be congratualating u, not rebeling. think over this situation carefully before doing anything.

I think, depending on your age, it doesn't and shouldn't matter what your mom says. And furthermore, at this day in age, its pretty insensitive of her to call ANY cut a dyke cut. That being said, I am in total agreement that Posh's cute is very chic. See also Paris Hilton's new bob. The angular bob is very trendy and flatters a lot of people, as it is not so bulky as a regular bob. I say go for it and if it ends up bad, there are lots of things you can do to fix it. Remember too, that rounder and pudgey faces can become rounder and pudgier with a short shin length cut. They are flattered more by longer locks. If you have a longer, thinner, or heart shaped/angular face, a more severe bob works great!

The styles i see now or in magazines is the shoulder lenth layered look with a side swept bang. this is seen all over and is extremely manangble. this looks cute on about every kind of girl. this look doesnt hug to your face, but its not out there like pippy longstockins. itll take the shape of whatever you put it to. so i really like it. hope this helps

I went through 4 different kinds of hair straighteners in one year alone, all different brands. None of them ever straightened my hair that well and died within months. By the time you add up all the money you've spent on those and then work out how much one pair of GHD's cost and how well they work and how long they last (year and 7 months so far, without even getting slightly cooler, they are still as hot as when I first got them) they are the ones to go for. It may seem pricey now, but when you've gone through 4 pairs at 鎷?5 you may as well have spent out the 鎷?00 for ghd's

Babyliss pro230 straighteners are really good. Well, they work for me anyway!

I wanted GHD's, but like you found them too pricey. So on a few recommendations, I went for Babyliss which were cheaper, and with variable heat control (which GHD's don't have). They are also slim and I think they work just as well as GHD's.

ive tried allsorts from cheap to expensive and though i do love my charles worthington ones i did have a slim pair from tesco which believe it or not worked just as well as more expensive ones.lasted ages for my then, shorter hair and cost under 25 quid!!

dont be swayed by the names or the prices. good products and a little time are all you need to get a good finish

kodo straighteners are brillint but you can only buy them from certain shops salons and wholesalers everyone likes ghd's but i personaly prefer kodo especially if you have really curly hair (i do) and if it takes ages to do kodo mark 3 's r good as they are bigger to do more hair at a time!

Depends what kind of hair your have naturally! I have very curley hair and find the only thing that will get my hair straight is GHD's, But thats the expensive option. If you already have fine,wavy, or straight'ish hair then I would just recomend just buying some fairly cheap onse, they should do the job.

I am thinking that if you have used the wide GHD's in the past then you must have quite thick and maybe frizzy/curly hair. I really don't think you will find cheaper straighteners that will do the same job as GHD's do - I have tried loads over the years and always go back to GHD's because they are simply the best. I know they are expensive but if you think about how often you will use them and how long they will last compared to cheaper brands then they aren't too bad really!
